What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text and can't read it back.

Profile information. If you claim a username, anything you choose to add to your profile (bio, nursing school, social links, avatar) is visible to anyone who visits your public profile page.

Study activity. We track which practice questions you've answered and whether you got them right, so your progress carries across sessions. Game scores tied to a public username appear on leaderboards and your profile if you've claimed one.

Notes. Notes you write or generate are private to your account. We don't show them to other users, publish them anywhere, or use them for anything other than displaying them back to you.

Community posts. Threads and replies you post in the community are public and shown under your username.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number. Stripe handles that directly.

Usage analytics. We log page visits to understand traffic at a high level. IP addresses are stored as a one-way hash, not in raw form, so we can measure things like unique visitors without keeping your actual IP address.

How we use it

We use your data to run the product: log you in, track your progress, process payments, send account-related emails (verification, receipts, password setup), and keep the site working reliably. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

If you use an AI feature (improving a note or generating notes from a transcript), the text you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate the response shown back to you. It isn't used to train our own models.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to run Nursing: Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email, and Anthropic for AI-assisted note features. Each only receives the data needed to perform its specific function. We don't sell or share your information beyond that.

Google Calendar sync

Nursing's calendar tool has an optional "Connect Google Calendar" feature. Turning it on requests Google's calendar scope, which technically permits broad access to your calendars, but what we actually do with it is narrow: we only ever create, update, and delete the shifts, classes, and study events you create inside Nursing's calendar tool. We don't read, modify, or delete any other event on your calendar, and we don't access calendar sharing settings, other calendars, or any other Google data.

This connection is entirely opt-in. You can disconnect it anytime from the calendar page, which stops any further syncing; you can also revoke Nursing's access directly from your Google Account's security settings.

Nursing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. It's essential to the site working and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your choices

You can edit or remove most profile information from your account settings at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, or to ask any question about what we hold, email hello@nursing.gg.

Children's privacy

Nursing isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nursing after a change means you accept the updated policy.
